What are the expectations? Finish in the top 5 and outrecruit Riley and Jimbo?

Yes and yes. One of Sark’s earliest tests is how well he can recruit, regain traction/momentum and then land the war daddies.

Frankly, I feel it’s one of the main reasons he was hired.

I think Ketch said in his Sunday column that he would buy a top 5 class in 2022.

Did that include having Banks and Lupoi on the staff? We will get a bump based on excitement if a new coach but Top 5 will be tough without multiple elite Recruiters...I’m sure we will finish with some on the staff but just how many remains to be seen

🤷‍♂️

If it's not a top 7 kinda class, you're going to have a lot of pissed off people. Sark being the recruiting messiah we've been waiting for is a huge part of the "why it's worth the risk" calculation.

Beyond the annual goals of filling needs with superior prospects, 2022 is all about re-establishing Texas as at least one of the top destinations for elite Texas talent. I don't think a 1999 Mack Brown scenario is realistic, but Texas should be on par with Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama and Ohio State when it comes to in-state recruiting.

If we remain a distant laggard, then it's a data point in the Wrong Hire column.

It expect it will be top 10 but not top 5. There’s a few schools that are recruiting machines right now.
