When I think of the 2024 Secondary four things come to mind: (1) lack of big plays surrendered; (2) ability to make plays on the ball; (3) physical play and sure tackling; and (4) clearly defined roles. Kudos to PK, Joseph, Gideon, Barron, Mukuba, Taaffe, Muhammad, Guilbeau, McDonald, Holmes, Black, and Williams.

I am hopeful the 2025 secondary will be as good as 2024, but I think it might be a half-step down of the 2024 group.

Field Corner: Kobe Black
Boundary Corner: Malik Muhammad
Star/Nickel: Jaylon Guilbeau
Box Safety: Jelani McDonald
Field Safety: Michael Taaffe

Rotation Players:
Derek Williams
Wardell Mack
Warren Roberson
Jordon Johnson-Rubell

It will be interesting to watch which of the true freshmen work their way into the playing rotation.

I know Sark and PK want to play more man coverage in 2025, but this group looks like even less of a man coverage group than the 2024 group. I do think the linebackers will be much better in pass overage in 2025 than 2024.
