3 Key Questions for the Outcome of the Texas/Notre Dame Game

Can Texas Force ND to Respect the Downfield Passing Game (not extended hand-offs)?
If Texas can exploit the ND defensive backfield weakness it will be a long day for the Irish. No matter, this game is going to be a lot closer than most fans think.

Well actually I post on Under the Dome, which was the old Irish Eyes site. The other site I like is the USC General Discussion one, a wide variety of views on every subject under the Sun,real interesting.

Some people just want to watch the world burn. You had to throw it all away like that. Now you need to wait until 2022 to post again to restore your average.

It will be hot at gametime. That only helps Texas if they have depth. I contend it will be a minimal factor. Texas will be stoked, but will make youthful errors. Texas will have to pound the middle to open up the passing game for Buechele, who will then need to be careful passing, even if the ND secondary is suspect. I am somewhat optimistic about the offense. The ND running game will also need to pound away at a questionable Texas DL who is bound to get gassed. I predict a tough, physical game with ND coming out on top and pulling away in the 4th quarter, winning by no more than 17, ahead by no more than 10 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Is this a complicated game to analyze?

Is Cougar High a must win game?
Are Stoops and Strong in the same situation? I say Notre Dame is a must win from the standpoint of an early season loss, especially a beat down can have ir repairable effects on an already fragile team. Fragile in terms of the results of the last 2 season records, not that your team is soft.

I don't think it's must win. Most would say we're underdogs maybe even double digit. However, a huge beat down with Swoops throwing 10 yrd passes into the ground will not sit well. If we are competitive and the QB play is solid game manager level, we'll have optimism for the season.

Fragile?....Bell, you need to recheck your sources.....besides....the two most fragile times last year are coming into the OU and BU games.

Fragile in terms of record and tge mental effect it can have on your team, Oldhorn, not physically.

I assumed you were talking about the mental aspect. That is what I was referring to.

Well I was also referring to the state of mind of the players after the last 2 seasons. A loss could throw things into a tail spin if Strong's not careful.

Fragile?

Seriously...

This team is light years ahead of where it was last year, however it is still going to lose 3 or so games. That is just how it is, and Notre Dame is a likely one.

The real question isn't if we lose to Notre Dame, is what will the confidence level be if we beat Notre Dame. I'm not worried about getting down, I'm wondering what will happens with this team once it gets a little confidence.

uh-oh....can almost hear that bacon sizzling......seriously...both teams will feel the heat. ND will come in in great condition.....not used to what they will feel here, but in great condition none the less.....My tip however is to load the plane with gator aide and saline bags....they will come in handy.

The three big questions that will pop up after Texas beats ND will be

1. Is ou ready to get smashed again in October by Texas?
2. Are tcu/baylor ready to get smashed by Texas
3. How many sooners and aggys will be whining about Texas winning the Big 12 being a fluke?

This team this year is going to shock the nation. Mark it down.
I totally agree!
