So to be fair and open the opportunity to attend the University Of Texas, if a student is in the the top 7% of their graduation class they qualify for admission. This provides opportunities to minorities. As I look at the ethnicities of the athletes on the football and basketball teams, I wonder if it wouldn't be equally fair to only provide opportunities to play on those teams to players who graduate in the top 7%. Sure the players would not be as athletically gifted but they meet Universty standards and it is only fair.
