I cannot remember a Texas team held to 9 yards rushing on 26 attempts.Do they still practice with sleds for the OL anymore..I bet you could find some guys on campus that could do better than 9 yards.Im not a coach and if I knew how to change our running game I would so if anyone out there knows how this can improve, please pass it on.

Do those numbers include all the yardage from sacks on Shane? I'm asking because I don't know. I bet that totals close to 50 yards. Still not good though.

Nicholson is our LT and we have a freshmen at RT. Add Cuney starting at center and a converted DL at guard and you really want to know the reason Texas can't run the ball? LOL
We are doomed. Why should we think we can run against Tech or West Virginia then?

Seriously? Do you honestly think those three teams matchup like TCU? LOL, holy shit.
I don’t see them (WV & TT) holding our offense with a healthy Sam to 7. But, I can see both of those teams keeping us to 21 or less now. That is trouble because West Virginia & Texas Tech are in the top 20 in the NCAA in scoring offense (37.9 & 36 points per game respectively).

Shane only works if someone can catch his jump balls in the end zone. Texas has no running game. Sam was our running game. Shane doesn’t have the same ability to avoid the pass rush and scramble. No running game makes an average defense look great!

Very telling that Texas had to add an extra blocker so the QB could sneak out 4-5 yard runs

Well, to be fair the RB's combined for 13 carries and 34 yards. And 12/13 carries were for true freshman Daniel Young. Although that's horrible, the QB sacks skew the numbers of the OP.

Roosevelt Leaks gained 342 yards in one game vs. SMU in 1973.

This team is a pass first. All you guys knew what we were signing up for with Herman. Plus NO OL

Young netted over 30 yards, Shane sacked 7 times for -26 and Heard dropped for -2.

The equipment managers getting the grass stains out of our QB uniforms would be considered a successful season at this point.

28 sacks for -197
