I haven't talked to anyone in Parrish Cobb's camp, but there's some thought from people that Cobb could make a decision without taking any visits. We'll see.
Personally, I'd be a little surprised if he didn't take advantage of a chance to get to UT or TCU before the dead period begins, but someone I talked to thinks he may not take any trips.
I don't have a great feel for where Cobb will wind up, but remember, I was told on Thursday that Texas had shot up Cobb's list and may have even pulled in front of Oklahoma. Cobb reached out to UT earlier in the week on his own, so his interest is legit.
In talking to someone about scholarship numbers, it was reiterated to me a couple days ago that both Erick Fowler and Marcel Southall are expected to make it in to UT for the fall semester.
With Devin Duvernay and JP Urquidez now in the class, that puts Texas at 26 scholarships for the 2016 class. Four early enrollees could count towards last year's class so Texas could still take three more if the coaches want to. I was told on Thursday that three or four was the likely number (would be two or three now that Urquidez is in).
