Wednesday 5:15 p.m. update - Oklahoma offered UT OL commitment Xavier Newman earlier today.

Keep an eye on this one. Very strong chance he changes his commitment.

Tuesday 10 a.m. update -
I'm hearing nothing has changed from my previous reports. Hudson has not signed with anyone yet, but as of this morning, things still look good for Texas.

Hudson will have a final decision later this week. Texas, OU, A&M and TCU are still under consideration.

Monday 7:20 pm update -
There's a report on Twitter that Hudson had signed with Texas.

I just spoke with a key source who told me Hudson has not signed. But as I've been saying all along, this one continues to look good for the Longhorns.

Hudson's plan is to announce his decision on Thursday. He told me this morning that he's down to OU, TCU, Texas and A&M.

From what I'm told just now, his family wants him to stay a little closer to home, which is helping UT's cause.

Monday 6:30 p.m. update -
Top national prospect and UT LB target Dylan Moses is going to release his schedule of official visits at 8 p.m. tonight.

Moses told me at the Five-Star Challenge Texas would probably be getting one of his trips, but he didn't sound positive. We'll know soon enough.

Monday 10 a.m. update
- Patrick Hudson just told me via DM that he is planning to announce his decision on Thursday.

He told he "may" release the news on Twitter.

Hudson said OU, TCU, A&M and Texas are all still under consideration.

Head back from the same source. I was told nothing is official yet on Hudson so we'll have to wait to see where this goes from here, but it does sound like it looks very good for Texas as of this morning.

Sunday 10:45 p.m. update
- I'm not considering anything official until I hear it from Patrick Hudson directly since the info on his situation has been all over the map, but I'm hearing things look very good for Texas.

I asked a key source about Hudson's tweet (shown below) and was given a one-word response:

"Longhorns"

Again, I'm hedging my bets a bit on this one until I hear something directly from Hudson, but this source has given me good information throughout Hudson's recruitment, even prior to his original signing with Baylor. Hudson has a tough decision to make and this thing could change in a hurry, but that's the latest info I have as of late Sunday night.

Obviously, I'll keep you all posted if I hear anything more.

Unfortunately, it's been pretty quiet all-around ...

--- OL Patrick Hudson will be finishing up his OU official visit tonight with dead period beginning at midnight. I'd guess the trip has already concluded.

Hudson, as has been the case all along, has been silent about where he stands. He did tweet the following a little earlier tonight ... let me know if you know what it means:

I feel pretty confident in saying Texas was the team to beat heading into the weekend. But with Hudson unable to visit UT (he took an official visit to Texas in January), that has certainly opened the door for the Sooners. I have not heard any feedback on how that trip went, but as one person close to Hudson told me this weekend, OU would almost certainly make a good impression.

This one's tough to call. One OU source told me the Sooners feel like they have "a real chance" after the visit, but that's about as much detail as I've been able to pick up tonight. I wish I had more to offer, but the information has been tough to come by with this one and my best source has been quiet on Sunday.

--- As has been discussed on the board, DB Parrish Cobb was in Austin on Saturday night but he did not make it to campus to meet with the UT staff. That would seem to be a pretty good indicator that Oklahoma is in a great spot to land Cobb.

I did talk to someone close to Cobb tonight who told me there is no firm timetable for a decision. Not much to go on beyond that, and Cobb's recruitment has been all over the place so this one's tough to predict, but after this weekend's non-meeting with the coaches, this one feels like it's a case of UT and Cobb going different directions.

--- Kam Martin committed to Auburn. Not a huge shock, although I did think he'd stay closer to home and land at TCU.

--- This should make some of you happy. I'm told that Arlington High kicker Chris Naggar did get clarification from the Texas coaches this weekend and will enroll at UT for the fall semester with an opportunity to join the team as a walk-on.
