- Galena Park North Shore OL Tyler Moore released a top five of Texas, Texas Tech, Oregon State, Minnesota and Colorado. Moore will be at the UT game on Saturday.
- Earlier this weekend, RB Chris Warren released a top six (no order) of Texas, Texas Tech, Stanford, Oregon, Iowa and Washington.
- North Shore 2016 DB Eric Monroe (No. 3 on the 2016 LSR) texted that he is coming to the game on Saturday. He'll be joined by teammate Derec Burks.
- Monroe's teammate and UT commit, RB Tristian Houston, told me tonight his ride to the UT game canceled on him so right now he's a no for this weekend. Sounds like Houston needs to get in touch with Monroe.
- Manvel 2016 WR Reggie Hemphill will be at the game this weekend with teammate D'Eriq King. Hemphill told me tonight he's not focused on recruiting at all, but his mom talks to UT RBs coach Tommie Robinson every few days.
- Texas called to check on 2016 McAllen RB Trevor Speights a few days ago. Speights is committed to Arizona, but Vance Bedford has been in touch with Speights mother and told her he'll be visiting for a game to see Speights in action. Despite his commit to Arizona, Speights is pretty high on Texas.
- Not a ton going on right now with Houston Stratford RB Rakeem Boyd, although Boyd did say he'll be attending a UT game this fall and the Longhorns stand out above all other schools.
