This is a continuation of my previous post and from the same sources- I inadvertently left of the WR so I will start with them-Parker Livingstone-He has a large catch radius because of his length and jumping ability, most people dont know he is one of the fastest players on the team, Comment-he was injuried to start the year last season or he would have played more,he has put on good weight and improved as a blocker.
Aaron Butler--best asset is top end speed, has good hands but still working on route running and consistency.

Daylon McCutchen-has kind of been in the spotlight for the simple reason he is getting more snaps than the other freshmen due to Moores injury, but to his credit he has shown up and produced.he will remind a lot of people of Jordan Whittington, very tenacious blocker.
Kaliq Lockett-he tracks the ball really well, allways under control so he wins most jump balls, still he has to be more consistent and not miss the easy ones.

Jaime Ffrench-Not a question of if he will play this year,he will, must show consistency the rest of spring or a starter level WR from the portal if available may be sought. Believe the staff would not be overly concerned if he had to play early but would like more time to evaluate than they will actually have.A portal WR IMO is a luxory they would like but it would have to be a difference maker to keep Ffrench of the field. In Fact i would say allmost the same identical thing about Micheal Terry although he is in various sub packages as a WR,H Back and RB so their roles are quite different.
Wingo was of the charts before tweaking a hamstring and is being held out strictly for precautionary measures.

Defense--Most of the guys seem to think that the defense will be lights out,They think the DE-edge position will be stronger on the two deep while the DT position may take a small step back, the LBer position overall will be stronger while the secondary should be stronger.

While the tranfers will plug some gaps but there is no Collins or Broughton level of player as of now,January or Kanu would be the closest but .Melvin Hills has made some plays and is moving up, A lot is being ask of the freshmen but conditioning is the main focus now and injuries have slowed them. The idea seems to be to push their conditioning and hope for a strong fall camp from the three freshman,a portal player or two is a possibility if they become available.

DE-Edge-Simmons is one of the top pass rushers in the country,no worse than second IMO,Burke is strong against the run and pass and has added about 12lbs of good weight, Zina Umeozulu is making a strong push for playing time and Lance Jackson is further along than any off the freshmen as far as being ready to play now on defense. Vasek shoulder surgery will keep him out untill fall camp but hopefully not longer. Lance is expected to be squarely in the rotation and I was told he has graded as the second best pass rusher behind only Simmons.the other freshman is recovering from knee surgery and should be ready for fall camp,he also has out on 15lbs from what i was told.

Lber-Hill and Lefou return and Spence will be a big addition when he is fully healthy,Trey Moore has been better than expected in coverage which should help his draft stock but his value is still as a pass rusher and run stuffer.he will be coming from a lot of different angles not just head up on a tackle. Overall this LB crew is very good and Tyanthony Smith will take over Blackwells role,

Secondary- The big question at this time is the timeline of Derek Williams return, and unfortunately what I have heard isnt good news,he may be ready for fall camp but the consensus is mid to late season, they will not rush him back if he isn't healed completely.Taaffe and Mcdonald will most likley be the safteys even though Mcdonald may move to star,Guilbeau may stay at corner or may move back to star depending on continued development of Black and Cade Phillips.Warren Roberson and Rubell and Filsame all are making a strong push and everyone expects Santana Wilson to force the issue somewhere. Lots of talent and depth. Mohamed has one corner locked down pretty much .
Punter may be in good hands as Kern is holding his own with the tranfer which also looks good.
Kicker I havent heard anything on.--utx
