After enduring a very stressful second half against ASU and after reading countless posts on this board complaining about Sark, I think it’s clear that a quick dose of perspective is needed:
- Texas football in the previous 11 seasons before Sark’s arrival: 78-60 (.565), zero conference championships, zero CFP appearances.
- Texas football in four seasons under Sark: 38-16 (.708), one Big 12 title, two CFP appearances, two playoff game victories. And, this includes a brutal 5-7 first season where Sark was working to instill a new culture and turn over a roster that had very little emphasis placed on the lines of scrimmage.
Sark may not be perfect, but before getting on here and shitposting about how he “sucks”, you need to take a step back and understand just how astoundingly much better he is than anyone we’ve had around this place for a LONG time and we’re damn lucky to have him.
And, for those of you who just watched the Rose Bowl and are already writing off the Cotton Bowl as a loss, keep in mind that this is the same Ohio State team that shit the bed a few weeks ago at home against a very average Michigan team and had their fans clamoring for Ryan Day to be fired. Texas has a better roster than anyone OSU has faced this season. We’ll be underdogs, but you’re a moron if you think we don’t have a chance in that game based solely on what you saw today.
