So my wife had this assistant at her old job. He really rubbed me the wrong way, but she swore up and down there was nothing. Texts at all hours of the night, texts on hidden apps, lunches together on Tuesdays, real shady activity that I don’t think she would appreciate coming from me. When she left that job, I was told that all communication stopped. They were only work friends nothing more so no need to continue conversation conversations past working together. Then about two years later, one of our daughter’s friends saw her at a restaurant with him, just him, when she told me she was going to a work dinner with her boss. After a lot of conversations, it came out that she was there with him, but again swears that it was nothing more than a conversation between friends. She’s been acting kind of off lately and I never could put my finger on it but tonight… She was frustrated. She left the house sent me a text after she was gone that said she was just going for a drive. About two hours later I tried calling her and she thought thought she declined the call but I could hear everything and she was definitely with a guy. I don’t know if it’s the same guy, but she was definitely with a guy and he was talking about her fine little ass. She hasn’t come home. She said she’s going to a hotel but that she’s there by herself and that she does not recall this conversation because she was at a bar drinking by herself. What are we thinking? I’m trying to be a good husband. I know she has a stressful job, but I really kind of feel like tonight crossed the line. What do you think? I would love third-party advice.
