He held the ball for 4+ seconds almost every dropback. People want to hate on the OL, but this is Georgia…they’re going to get pressure after 3 seconds. Just like we get pressure after 3 seconds. An elite QB gets through his reads in under 3 seconds, and if nobody is open either checks it down, scrambles (not an option for Ewers), or throws it away.

Outside the corner blitz sack & fumble, Ewers sat in the pocket for over 3 seconds waiting on his first two reads to get open and was exposed for it. He’s just nowhere near the QB he was 5 weeks ago. It’s either between the ears or he’s not focused on his job. He has almost forfeited his future as a QB.

I don’t know which it is, but either get him a sports psychologist if mental, or bench his ass if it’s a lack of focus.

He looks weak, and the energy of that weakness permeates through the whole offense.
