Yes, like he didn't know what was going on when he WAS being recruited. Manziel was there when he was being recruited. He liked the special treatment players were getting. The bottom line was he got scared when Kyler Murray was coming in knowing he wouldn't outlast him so he ran.
LOL....yea, that's it. So why did murray run ????? He was going to be the starter, so what scared him off ?
The thought of having to play power houses to the likes of Prairie View a&m and UTSA probably put a scare in their pants.

You are exactly right. Sumlin has run a loose program that I suppose he wants to be "player friendly". If wants to continue down this road he might want to consider bringing Barry Switzer or Jimmy Johnson in as consultants because he clearly is doing it wrong.

when kyle allen said the aggy culture was still going on from the manziel era he was DEAD WRONG. aggys have always thought they were better than others......they NEVER HAVE proven they can WIN National Champions or even Conf champs.......yet they act like a blueblood program. They are not and will never be the best in the Country. aggys will never see a Football national championship. So what do they do??? They go start living off conference pride and telling everyone "we play in the secsecsec". Riding Alabama's jock as if though aggy because they play in that conference can get some of the credit. It is SSSOOOOOO AGGGGGGGYYYYYYY.
aggy is the nerd who wants so bad to be cool. aggy talks of tradition and then ran from it.....instead of earning recognition for what they do they ran to get someone else's recognition. I have no respect for aggy for the way they act. I used to say "well at least it is a Texas school".....NOT anymore......they would rather Texas lose than aggy win. Sad.
Its fascinating the way Aggies have tried to change the narrative on Allen. Aggie description of events is that he had been passed over on the depth chart, had a bad attitude, was run out of town, and now is bitter and lashing out.
The truth: Allen was the projected starter for the bowl game and for the 2016 season. Murray had played briefly, and then was benched for most of the rest of the season. Allen was not run out of town, he left amidst the entire staff denying it was going to happen right up until it did. He has no reason to be bitter, he was going to be the starting QB, but left anyway.
When Murray quit, all the Aggies were saying Murray was a bad egg and Allen was the real loss. Now that Allen has opened up about problems in the program, its Allen that was the spoiled kid.
This is kind of like the guy that claims every girl he has dated was crazy. At some point you have to realize, its not them, its you. Sumlin has completely botched the recruiting windfall hand delivered by Johnny Manziel.
And for those who missed it, Sumlin's 2017 QB recruit is mad now too. Put his phone number out on twitter for coaches to call him.

you mean the little guy from Nevada that for some inexplicable reason has been rated a 5* QB ?...the one that was butt hurt because aTm had the nerve to actually try and recruit a second QB because all their others transfered out?...Do you mean that guy?...sounds like the perfect high character type guy to carry on the tradition at QBU.
yea that guy. Are we starting to notice a pattern here. Kids getting mad because recruiting promises are not being kept. Thats why you don't promise anything. (Mack used to do this stuff too)

Honestly don't know. I continue to hear that he left because promises were made to him and went unmet. If he was promised to be the starter, he had many opportunities to win the job and it was basically given to him when Allen left. There seemed to be a major clash of personalities between Kevin Murray and Kevin Sumlin. Red flags should have gone up everywhere when Murray took the late visit to Texas. This probably should have been the first clue for Sumlin that there could be problems down the road.
Regardless, its all on Sumlin. He proved that he couldn't manage this situation and that makes him look bad.
It's all fun and games until zombies come and get us and you have to rely on Metcalf and his old a$$ 30-30 to protect you from the invading zombie hoard.
I once shot a coyote that was running, off hand at 357 paces.....it did take 3 shots, but I doubt zombies are that fast.
That's a hell of a shot. My personal favorite shot ever was when I was 10, with a Daisy Red Rider. Rattlesnake raised his head out of early morning wet grass, I nailed him in the eye from about 25 yards away. Lol.
