So when stuff like this happens I just cant help but go take a peek over at texaggy. The majority opinion over there is that it was just a funny joke and people are just overreacting. The minority think it was in poor taste and that it could hurt recruiting top female students. Even smaller majority is saying someone should be fired for it.

That really isn't true. The majority think it isn't funny. I think the debate is whether or not the punishment is enough. Some think they should be fired and that is where the biggest disagreement is. I think it was as classless as it could be. My wife said she would be offended and I don't blame her. I think people in the 12th Man that viewed this and approved it should be fired. I wouldn't lose sleep at all if both of those coaches got fired. That is about as poor of taste as you can possibly have. If that speech had been made to men we could all get a laugh out of it. Most classy women don't feel the same way. I'm embarrassed by it.

Was going off of a thread on Texags, There were quite a few people on that thread that thought it was funny and people were over reacting. Mostly men from what I could figure out from the post.

Sadly, this isn't some isolated thing. It is a mentality at ATM. Bred in to the traditions.

Thats why so many allowed it to happen and thought it would be funny.

Cover ups are a thing at BU. Thanks to a mentality from the top down. (saw it in basketball and football and totally different regimes). Racism and sexism are a real thing at ATM. Its not a place built to be a bastion of enlightenment and open conversation about society. Even current and ex players have gone on the record about it.

The underlying issue here is nothing new, just the method of delivery is.
