I went with my friend to take his hunting dog to the vet cause he was having stomach distress or something, the head Nurse there examined him and said he needed Xrays and some other test, ( gonna run about 300), the money wasn't a prob, but, what was the prob was she would do nothing for the dog that was hurting and crying until she run my friends Credit card, that's where it pissed me off..she cared more about the money than helping the dog, my friends card was short of mo0ney, so I gave her mine, the Aggies have been fing us so long with their big dam fees and shit, I only went with him for the ride, My Vet is a CSU Vet and he's just as good as any Vet that the Aggies ever gave birth to, and he is reasonable and helps people in the community especially old ladies with cats and older dogs, every Aggie vet in this town will fu*k ya one way or another, we have 4 CSU Vets here in town and they are older Dr and can spot stuff right on, then ****ers will never get my money again or my friends

If your buddies card was maxed out, maybe the vet can diagnose more than issues with animals. People don't like working for free. Most small business owners have been screwed by customers who never pay for goods/services, over and over again.

Now if the dog was in terrible pain, I can see your point. But I also see why a business would like to get paid. Once the service is rendered, it is a hell of a lot harder to get payment.

Sir, the card you used for the heart transplant co-pay was declined. We're gonna have to repo the heart unless you have another card.

Guess who will pay the balance when the baby boomers kick the bucket with massive debt, that's right.... all of us. It's going to be spread around.

All Vets are some what the same although the one I go to which is run by Aggies always ask for payment after the fact although it’s $100 or less. Best Veternerian I ever went to was Low Cost that guy was a very understanding man. He even put people on payment plans if the procedure was over their financial capabilities. He had a lot of loyal owners for that reason alone. He truly cared about every animal and owner. Good guy but too far for me to drive to now.

I’d also like to say A&M did back surgery on my neighbors dog and she came out doing awesome. Procedure was 10k but they luckily had pet insurance which paid 80% of it. Her dogs are her life.

Yeah, it is what it is and we're gonna have to deal with it sooner or later. I read somewhere that the current estimate for SS & Medicare to run dry is now at 2025 give or take a year.
Government does 1 thing really really good, and that's blow our money.

If they waited until after the transplant, they'd have a tough time with that repo. If they made me pay the co-pay before the transplant, I bet I'd figure something out. Motivation is a powerful thing.

Oh no my friend. There's two things the US government does better than anyone else in history.
1. As you said, spend our money.
2. Kill people.

Of all the people on this forum you should know that we have a Sears catalog chocked full of ways to kill people via our military. We are the most efficient killing machine that has ever existed. Bullets, bombs, warheads on foreheads-- DARPA even made a way to cook people with a microwave. Sure it's supposed to be used for crowd control and riots but we can extra crispy someone as well. We have invented ways of killing people.

Sitting in an outhouse in the Khyber pass enjoying your morning dump? We can launch a tomahawk out of a submarine 1500 miles away and drive it directly up your ass.
Death from Poseidon. And fresh, are you allowed to talk about "rods from the gods" yet or is that still TS/SCI? I know, I know--- we aren't supposed to have weapons platforms in space.............. Riiiiiiiight.

Truth be told all these Gov Agencies borrowed from SS's fund, and never paid it back, Congress borrowed and supposed to pay it back, well, you know the answer to that, SS has bailed out so many things it became a habit, so if you don't get yours then thank the Congressman or Senator you voted for, I got mine by paying with blood, ya'll young'em just made bad choices as usual...lol, all ya'll\s money went to feeding them poor hungry Iraq and Afgan people that killed all our young boys...but, know this its not that much money every month, you better have saved a bunch while you was young and able, in truth, " they ain't shit at the end of the tunnel waiting on ya" but a lotta medical bills and copay's, staying alive cost ya money,

If wanting to get paid for your labor makes you an asshole, then I'm an asshole. And if your buddy has big money, he should understand that.

And Social Security isn't going broke because of Al Gore's lockbox. It is going broke because when the ponzi scheme was created most people died younger. In 1950 there were 16.5 people working for every 1 person getting a SS check. In 2013, there was 2.8 workers per recipient. I am sure it is worse now. Baby boomers caused a lot of the delta, but Americans living longer is what is killing the program. People hate math, so they come up with nonsense, when the real explanation is obvious.

He wasn't worried about the money, just his dog....

ponzi scheme? you go to jail for running them! I guess we shoulda locked up the whole Roundhouse In Wash.. you can do better than that, its because we are building the whole middle east with our money, gotta give them people credit, go to war with US and they kick our ass and then everybodies getting a Spa on their back porch and that prison in Iraq that we spent a Bil on and its sits there rotting and never had 1 prisoner in it, after they figured the Ponzi, they damn sure went to bigger Ponzi's...their pockets and bribes

Or it could be that only 2.8 people are having to pull the load that 16.5 people used to be responsible for. Maybe it's math and not conspiracy, maybe not.

I guess it was unfair to call it a ponzi scheme, since the current "investors" should understand that their payments are being used to pay prior investors, and they have no assurance of the plan continuing to payout until they are eligible for withdrawals. Not that I think the average American understands that the rules to SS could change at any point. My guess is it becomes a welfare program for seniors in the future, while those who maxed out for decades won't even get a thank you, much less a check.

Well, when I was a young working man, Min wage was a 1.15 a hr, and they worked the dog shit outa ya for that wage, so now look at the Min wage, I don't feel sorry for no one who maxed out, they got more than we did, wise words from my old man,, never invest, never buy a boat, and never bring home a Beer Joint Whore to meet ya Mamma!

Well your generation worked hard, no doubt. I will give you that. I have no issue with anyone getting a SS check at all, I still have some pathetic hope I get one. I just don't get the math for the program surviving long term. Only 2 solutions I see are moving the eligibility date way out, or only giving it to those who paid in very little. Hope I am wrong.

The models I have seen are 7 years at best (within the current model) something is going to have to change drastically or for an entire generation, you will have people who pay into this that don't get a single red cent in return. Its going to piss people off one way or another, but I am with you MM42, the math just doesn't add up.

I don’t know all Aggie vets but I do know Dr. Charles Graham from Gonzales, Texas and I do know that as far as large animal vets, he’s the top of the list. Just for starters he was named 2018 PRCA vet of the year, has owned the Southwest Stallion Station in Elgin for over 50 years, owned a vet practice in Gonzales, owns Graham Land and Cattle in Gonzales that supplied the ribeye you bought at HEB on your way back from your vet visit. He told me that Benny Butler has over 1100 head of rodeo stock at his place that he takes care of part of the year when he’s producing rodeos in the southern states. At 86 he’s still pretty damn active and not many more accomplished, if any.

Will they inflate or default, that is the question. If I know gen x and the millennials like I think I do, they will vote to default on the future payments. The scheme will die. Anyway, might want to brush up on the pre- New Deal lifestyles in America. The only way one will retire after 2025 is by not breathing.

Oh man, that mobile microwave has been in R&D forever. I never got to be a test subject.....but wanted to soooo bad! I think they are putting a few on the border.

Mining the moon for minerals? PFFFT! we're gonna smoke towels like ants under a magnifying glass! That's outta my "need to know" sir, better to find a Space Force cadet for that one.
Different but related, that new Russian sub can supposedly create tsunamis. Pretty lethal considering coastlines are typically the most populated areas throughout the world. Damn commies!

It was always a Ponzi scheme. If a private individual or company tried it, they would go to jail.

It would be really hard to get new fools signed up for this turd, if the government didn't force its citizens into a terrible investment.

I saw that. After doing some math they are either full of shit or they have figured out how to take them 50 megaton tzar bomb and Salt it with something that takes the yield up by double. And if that the case, it's pointless to use it because those new NRO birds will detect the explosion underwater and analyst's will know it was man made.

Ya know fellas . . . I've got a lethal weapon system in my butt everytime I eat TACO BELL! Maybe the US Government should contract me out?

Just a thought. :)

Is it football season yet?
Stop eating taco bell. Problem El solved-o.

Russia is really trying to take over Mexico.....Quietly

We aren't supposed to talk about that. And how you came by this alleged nugget makes me curious.

You need to read more Tom Clancy books! They the.... and Allies will come right thru Laredo and we won't be able to stop them until just below Waco and that will be the DMZ, better start looking for a trailer clob on Lake Texhoma...lol

That's not happening. I thought you were referring to the Russian mafia intertwining itself with the cartels. Never mind.

So you’re saying Trump colluded with the Russians and the cartels? Have you passed this intel on to Mueller and the 18 angry democrats?(19 angry democrats if you include my good friend @El Capitan)

You laugh dude but it's happening. I think it's either the Knights Templar or the Zetas that had struck a deal with them. Hey man, Russians need drugs too.
