Simple robbery will not get you booted from the team. Remember Benson going and "getting" his TV from someone else's apartment. He was not booted but did miss a few games I think.

Simple robbery is a second-degree felony in Texas. Benson was charged with misdemeanor trespassing.

Lucky for him, he couldn't find the TV. If he walked out with it, he probably would have been charged with theft. Instead he got charged for trespassing and had to pay restitution.
 
Times have changed since then. Thanks to the interweb and national media and social media and 24/7 news cycle along with sports becoming much bigger bu$ine$$ nowadays....it all is under a bigger microscope and teams are usually quicker to react swiftly.

Stars still can get more leadway (see FSU handling of their stud RB this offseason and how they also booted some no name kid for a lesser offence). But most kids who have never taken a snap....get tossed for this. You can't start trouble before you walk in the door. That goes for any job. Its only the special schools that will keep you and call redshirting a punishment or simply brush it under the rug and hope no name player makes no news headline and they then suspend you for a spring practice or two.

In this kids case, I'd surmise his punishment depends on how drunk Sumlin was when he read the news wire today.
 
Let's see...I'm in college...I think some asshat just stole my TV...now I can't play my super tecmo bowl...aww hell naw...somebody's about to take an ass whoopin'!

Cowboys of course, but I liked using the Raiders when we had tournaments. Wasn't long before the Raiders were banned from our tournaments though, as I'm sure you know Bo was just ridiculously, hilariously unstoppable. Lol

Yes he did. In the video game though, there was nothing you could do to stop him. It was funny as hell. You could call the exact right defense, where all 11 guys hit him at once, and he'd still break away. You could unplug the power and he'd still be running. Lol

Raiders and Bo were tough. I liked the Oilers air raid O with the stud WRs. KC Chiefs and Okoye were rough. SF 49ers were almost cheating.

We have super tecmo tournament every year the day before the real Super bowl. We do it on an HD projector screen TV where the entire media room wall is painted to be a screen. Its madness. Usually ends up with someone getting bloody.

Played techmobowl as a kid as well. Then madden, then college football on EA sports. Beat OU once 328-0. Went for two every time.

I would not be throwing any spears,I think we have a longhorn player (Cuney) that got caught stealing in a Walmart a few months ago and he is still around so please correct me if Im wrong here.Sometimes kids make dumb mistakes .

Its pretty fun.

It started as a fun drunken Sat before the super bowl way to blow off some steam. Its now an annual tournament with a buy in and a waiting list.
