Terrible matchup......for aggy. KSU's strengths are aligned pretty perfectly with aggy's weaknesses.

Always wondered this too. I wish he had gotten his MNC back in 1998. If they hadn't collapsed against aggy in the Big 12 CCG, I think that team would have been able to take Tennessee.

Ags left the B12 because they don't get embarrassed by the Horns any more. Now they just can't escape getting embarrassed by the B12 (12/28/16)(LOL!)

Yep, that's the one. That was a scary team. Completely unimaginable just a few years before that KSU could ever field one like it.

KSU is 20th in the nation for scoring defense. That makes them the 3rd best D aggy has played this year after Bama and LSU.

Aggy managed to put up 39 points on LSU. They have some good backs and Knight is dangerous in the option game and they have some legit receivers. Aggy should be able to put up some points. Not sure if its enough to win.

I don't think the Aggies would play TCU,Tech,Baylor in a bowl game as it could affect their recruiting efforts in the state now and years to come.

This bowl game like many other meh bowls will be decided by who is more motivated and excited to be in the game. As an Aggie, I am not expecting us to be the more motivated/excited team. Sucks, but true.

This has got to be a huge disappointment from being #4 in the original playoff ranking (yes everyone knew this was overreacting) to playing in the Texas Bowl.Good luck getting them focused and motivated

Trevor is not great, but he is mediocre if he is healthy enough to run. If not healthy, he is God awful for sure. I am fairly apathetic at this point, which is less fun than pissed off.

That might not so much have been a collapse as something else.

Bob Stoops had just been hired by OU that week and his brother, Mangino and Venables had already signed on to go with him. That was a big chunk of Snyder's staff. I doubt one or two of those much wanted to help K-State get a MNC and then recruit against us in Texas while they rebuilt.

TAMU is 2-0 vs. Big 12 Schools in bowls since going to the SEC. (vs. OU and WVU).

Do you watch TAMU football? When Knight has played the offense clicked and put up very good #'s vs some good defenses. If Knight doesn't get hurt, Ags are no worse than 10-2 and playing in the Sugar Bowl.

I have great respect for Bill Snyder but his bowl record is not impressive. He's lost 6 of his last 7.
I am concerned that KSU has a running QB. If our defense doesn't improve significantly there will be problems.

I dont like agreeing with aggy.....but he is right on here. You ARE what your record says you are. The difference between us and aggy this year was that they found a way to win the tight games, and we found a way to lose them.

I love Parcells....My favorite line from him was when the 'Boys were finally about to make the playoffs, but 3 or 4 critical players were injured and out for the next game. Parcells came on in his news conference and said..." we have big injuries but there are two things I am sure of.....we are still going to have to play the game....and no one is going to feel sorry for us"
