Ags vs Cats @ TX bowl(!)

I love Parcells....My favorite line from him was when the 'Boys were finally about to make the playoffs, but 3 or 4 critical players were injured and out for the next game. Parcells came on in his news conference and said..." we have big injuries but there are two things I am sure of.....we are still going to have to play the game....and no one is going to feel sorry for us"
Yep. He never believed in excuses.

Do you watch TAMU football? When Knight has played the offense clicked and put up very good #'s vs some good defenses. If Knight doesn't get hurt, Ags are no worse than 10-2 and playing in the Sugar Bowl.

Are you sure you don't mean that Hubenak is awful? I would probably agree with that.
I watched every game. How do you get to 10-2 at worst? Alabama was one lose. Mississippi St game was heading to a lose before Trevor got hurt, that is two. Unless he can play defense and stop the run, LSU was not happening. I will give you Ole Miss, but 9-3 sounds more like it to me.
And yes he is better than Hubenak. But because of his legs, not his arm. Due to OL issues his legs were vital, but that does not mean he was special. He is average, which is not bad - or good. A&M had a very talented team this year, and the SEC was not as strong as normal. We were pretty good but not real good.
Trevor missed a lot of easy throws. His completion rate was bad, especially when you consider all the short passes to Kirk. But we would have been worse without him.

I think we win the Miss St. game if Knight doesn't get hurt. We almost won it with Hubenak.
For some reason the defense completely fell apart at the same time Knight went down. There were some injuries but not excuse for the complete collapse. Even with a non-existent defense Knight still kept them in the LSU game and put up enough points to win.

A lot of what you say is true. But a ton of offense vs. LSU was in garbage time. 1st half 7 points vs 32 points in the second. Knight completed completed only 47% of his passes that game, and 52% for the season. That is too low a % to be considered a good QB in my book, but he was average due to his legs.

Defense lost that game, but 39 points was misleading. Knight was hurt and couldn't run, which is painful. But back up RB running for 285 was a killer, and not Knight's fault.

I can agree that his completion % was not up to par. But in games he played start to finish, we avg. 37 PPG. That is so much better than we got the past 2 years.

Great an aggy thread....

I'd love for aggy to lose, but this a pick'em game. KSU is 1-7 in bowl games going back to 2003.
