I am not an air raid expert but I did work in the system for a few years and here are my thoughts.
The install of the offense is simple. It allows less than special athletes to be able to execute the offense. I've observed this aspect of the system first hand so I know it's true.
Let's say a team has backs that are the best option for getting the ball. Two back and diamond are in the offense and you can have a versatile downhill running game.
I consider myself a defensive coach, not trying to say I'm good or great at my job, but being a defensive side of the ball guy this the air raid is the offense I would run. I like the system and how it is installed and implemented on a week to week basis.
Just look at the difference in leach, Kingsbury, and holgerson's offenses this year to see its versatility.
