Alamo Bowl vs Utah

READ VERY CAREFULLY

WE ARE NOT GOING TO THE SUGAR BOWL.

How you figure? If OU is in the playoff, who else is there?

West Virginia? please. The #4 team in the Big 12 is not going to the Sugar Bowl.

Iowa State? Yeah that monstrous 3 point win over Drake was convincing. Said no one ever.

Besides, out of those three, who do you think the Sugar Bowl wants? That's right. Texas. Now turn that caps lock off and go bed. You're drunk. Lol

I figured Michigan would be in the Orange Bowl against UCF, could be wrong

Just think...Alamo Bowl, senoritas , meskin food, cold beer and be back in Austin or close within 2 hrs sleeping in your own bed...Our Glory Days are over for this year Boys! Hope for more next yr, we are still about 3 yrs out from being top shelf, I don't care what ya say, got a feelin we gonna be getting some new asst coaches for next yr.

One thing I'm not clear about. Is the Sugar Bowl invite strictly based on the CFP poll? If so, it could be West Virginia if they're still ahead of us.

I would laugh, but it would be highway robbery. OU's loss to Texas is far better than getting boat raced by Purdue. OU's win over Texas is better than any win over Northwestern, even if it's 70-0.

Not to mention, Urban's boys are in a dogfight....Meyer looks like he's trying to pass a kidney stone....couldn't happen to a nicer coach...

Now hear this I hope you're right and I hope I'm wrong. But I'll bet the SB has an out if someone from another conference has a better record.I can't imagine them taking LSU because of the proximity so I imagine they'll take GA. And MI is bound to be in an NY6 bowl game. When was the last time an at large 4 loss team got into an NY6 level bowl game. Now that I think about it the Golden Domers did I've 1994 but that was when the ND privilege was very real. Like I said I hope you're right.

I'll tell you what. If I wrong I will gladly start a thread saying I was wrong.

We are in because we are the 2 seed in our conference and OU is in the playoffs. Simple as that, record has nothing to do with it, it’s all about your conference seed.

Why is this so difficult? The Sugar Bowl is a Big 12 vs. SEC game putting the top seeds in each conference. It’s that simple.

If either conference has a team that makes the playoffs then the #2 seed goes. Texas is the number 2 seed in the big 12 which is why they were in the Big 12 Championship vs the #1 seed OU.

I agree, I don’t understand why so many are having a hard time comprehending this!
