FTR, I think she sends it over sometime in Jan. A few R’s will insist on a legit trial.
If no assurances from the Senate come for there to be a legit trial, she has some options.
One would be to reopen impeachment hearings, with the possibility that more articles of impeachment are coming pending hearings. Of Course, she would hold on to the 2 articles already passed till she is ready to go to trial with the additional articles.
Mitch might hold a vote and dismiss the 2 articles already passed. Ok, Nancy could just pass them again and send em over for trial when she is ready.
I don’t think Republicans understand how far Nancy is willing to go. Mitch has had the zfg thing for awhile - Nancy has it know, she is fighting for the soul of this democracy. The witnesses and documents will be produced, if it takes a Constitutional crisis, so be it.
SC will rule in her favor, there is essentially no executive privilege during an impeachment.
