We hope to see a lot of Longhorns in Morgantown in two weeks. My wife and I tailgate in the Blue Lot (right next to the stadium) and we really enjoy hosting opposing fans. It's great to make new friends and talk football. I've been extending these invitations to opponents ever since we joined the B12, and we've had some great turnouts. Your fans travel very well and we've had a few dozen join us in past years. (In fact, I still carry in my car a pretty expensive pocket knife a Texas fan left with me either two or four years ago because he couldn't take it into the stadium. I'm hoping to give it back to him someday.)

So I hereby invite any and all Longhorns to join us Oct 5th for some good food, cold beer and some traditional clear Appalachian adult beverage. You can join our tradition, The Fire Water Circle, where we form a big circle, Mountaineers and guests together arm in arm, sing Country Roads and pass some adult beverages around. We'd be impressed if you'd sing your fight song for us. We'll do The Circle about an hour before kick-off. Then you need to think about going in the stadium because you don't want to miss our band entrance. The Pride of West Virginia entrance is like no other.

To find us, start at the 3 flag poles in front of Ruby Hospital. If you stand with your back to the flag poles, walk in a straight line towards the closest gate of the stadium. That is the North Gate. A third of the way there you will cross an access road that splits the Blue Lot. We try to park in the end space on the stadium side of the access road. If we miss out on that spot, we should be right around there somewhere. White Mercedes SUV. Ask anyone around for John and Crystal from South Carolina. (<--- been living in SC for 37 years but still have season tix. You could say we are Mountaineer fans.)

Or, if you're a techie, plug these coordinates into your pocket wizard: 39°39'9" N 79°57'23" W. That should get you within yards of our party.

Come see us!

My dad used to cut it with some sort of peach juice. Like from canned peaches or something. Stuff was----- wow.

You supposed to use straight Moonshine to make the piss instead of the rum and TS, still cut it with the lime juice and you have a Red Neck Mojito Or do like the old school frats did, get ya a trash can fill full of hawaiian punch and hit it with a gallon of everclear , that shit will make ya hunt everything, old school Torp juice is the best! It will take the paint offa a cruiser! The Squids made the shit outa that

FB, we made that stuff at every party. We had to run the homeless off. They could smell it blocks away.

It's game week! I'll be heading to Morgantown first thing Friday morning. Anyone reading this coming?

Early Fall in WV?... Pffft! No need to twist my arm!
Imo, that state has some of the most beautiful countryside in the lower 48.
I do miss Snowshoe Mtn.

What the heck would you be doing in the WV area? Visiting sugar grove or seeing your friends at Fort Belvoir?

Nope. Snowshoe Mtn is one of the most laid back, friendly, anti-Vail elitist ski resort I've been to. I think it's one of the largest on east coast. Good times.

I skied Snowshoe starting in 1976. The road to the top was still gravel and had no guard rails. Haven't been for several years now, but it is a gorgeous place with some long trails. Cup Run is a mile long.

Anyway, thought I'd give those coming some travel suggestions:

I'm not up on the trendy places, but there are two never changing cool places you shouldn't miss:

1) Cooper's Rock State Forest. Go Friday or Sunday. It's about 20 minutes outside of town. The overlook is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. If you're physically able, take a hike along the "underlook." Boulders as big as houses and incredible views. Both of these are about 3 miles inside the forest. Follow the signs to the Overlook.

2) Mario's Fishbowl -- An iconic little quirky bar. The place is very small and will be crowded, but Horns fans will be taken care of. Make sure you go to the Richwood Ave (original) location. They serve beer in giant heavy goblets called Fishbowls. The place is overfilled with history and memorabilia. Was there a last year and we played beer pong across the room from table to table with strangers. Everyone in the place cheers whenever anyone enters and boos when anyone leaves. Fun atmosphere.
