Texas RB commit Cedric Baxter and his Edgewater team fell in the playoffs this past week. Baxter put together a helluva senior campaign and is set to see a jump in the rankings at the upcoming update.
In checking in with Baxter, he plans to be in Austin on December 17 before he signs. That's the weekend when the staff is planning to bring in its commits and top targets. Obviously big to get the Orlando native back on the 40 Acres before pen hits the paper.
Baxter also told me that he is not planning to take any other visits. FSU has already used their OV in October, and Florida and Miami both tried to stay in contact in the fall. However, Baxter appears to be ready to be in Austin. He will be an early-enrollee and is excited about playing with Arch Manning and Johntay Cook. Tashard Choice has played a major role here.
