Rachel Maddow was just opining about all the Ukrainian soldiers who were waiting desperately for American aid while Donald Trump delayed it for his personal benefit. Some of these soldiers, we can presume, might have died.
What a crock.
Anybody familiar with the government budget system knows that's not the case. As George Kent testified yesterday, our military assistance to Ukraine takes as long as a year to arrive in country. All that was delayed by the WH was the obligation of the funds. After funding, money has to be paid to contractors who build and ship the equipment throughout the course of the next year.
Nobody was waiting for anything.
