Anyone ever lose their bookmarks out of nowhere?

Woke up this morning and all of my bookmarks on my Chrome browser are gone. Went to the Bookmarks manager and there's nothing there.

What the hell?

Is there any recovery process? If I wait, will they magically reappear, just as they disappeared?
