Was wondering if anyone might be interested in committing to a structured reading of the new President Barack Obama book, A Promised Land?
Per the publisher’s summary, it is “a riveting, deeply personal account of history in the making - from the president who inspired us to believe in the power of democracy.” It seems relevant in these difficult times.
I am thinking maybe four to five chapters or so a week, followed by a thread where we can all share our thoughts and perspectives about our reading. It may also allow us to pass the time between now and Inauguration Day by remembering the grace and dignity of the Obama Administration.
Of course, everybody whether Republican, Democrat or Libertarian would be welcome to join. I thought this would be a good way to unify The Corral in a way that would be consistent with what President-elect Biden has laid out for the country through his long campaign.
Who all would be interested?
