ATL - Midtown or Buckhead

Looking at hotels for TEXAS and asu.... don't know much about the city. Midtown seems relatively close to the stadium and closer than Buckhead. Close to restaurants and bars is desirable - will Uber and maybe use transit.

Any guidance from those in the know would be greatly appreciated.
