Just a reminder to all Austin residents, if you live in District 10 ( https://www.austintexas.gov/GIS/CouncilDistrictMap/ ), please get out and vote for Jennifer Virden https://www.jenniferforaustin.com/earlyvoting. If you don't live in District 10 but have friends or family that do, encourage them and their friends and their family to cast their votes. Virden is the best candidate to balance out the incompetence of the existing City Council. The current City Council has done so much damage to this city by lifting the homeless camping ban without a real plan to care for or house the homeless leading to increases in homelessness and unsheltered camping (https://www.statesman.com/news/2020...s-count-45-increase-in-unsheltered-population), for unanimously voting to "defund" the police leading to police leaving Austin (https://www.kvue.com/article/news/l...sing/269-f0318385-9525-4b7f-bebb-de3d1ce434db), and for proposing Prop A, which will increase every Austin resident's cost of living with the permanent increase in the city tax rate and will incur $4.5 billion of debt and cost over half a billion dollars a year to operate https://www.austintexas.gov/edims/document.cfm?id=347693. If the existing City Council is left unchecked, Austin is destined to be the next Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, etc.
