A few of you know that I’ve been representing Avery in connection with lawsuit/arbitration … which is all but settled now.
This morning I randomly bumped into him at my hotel in Austin. He’s in town for UT’s “pro day,” specifically to scout Tre Johnson. Tomorrow, Avery is heading to Baylor to scout some of their players, before heading to Dallas for the Jazz/Mavs preseason game.
For those who don’t know, Avery is the VP of Player Development for the Utah Jazz. He got the job earlier this year and relocated his family to Salt Lake City. He’s one of the nicest guys I have ever met and remains a big Longhorn fan. I’m going out to see him in SLC in November when the Spurs play @ Utah.
Anyhow, just passing along a little info about a great Longhorn.
