The Texas Longhorns coach is seeking the advice of Notre Dame's head coach. Just get the players practicing ! No wonder you wanted so many consultants so you could F Off! Get some new plays going and blocking schemes to where everyone in the Big 12 won't know what play we are gonna run next.....he will be calling OSU next to consult on how they serve water during the game...He'll be gone after this year!

if you're not getting better, you're falling behind. i don't see any way this is a negative. sublimate your ego and see if you can get something from other successful people around
 
I think all coaches do this. Remember when Saban consulted with Herman after Saban lost the playoff game to Ohio St. Dabo Swinney consulted with Mack when he was getting started.

Agree. This isn't uncommon for head coaches to consult with other head coaches during the offseason and compare notes how they run their programs.

I read this story and I'm sorry you're overreacting. ND had the same kind of season in 2016 that we had last year and BK made the same kind of changes in that off-season that TH made in this off-season. It paid off for ND why wouldn't TH want to talk to BK it makes good sense to me. These last 3 seasons have been the most successful for BK and ND. Let's hope that UT can match and exceed what ND done in the next 3 seasons.

If you are a coach and making millions the that should just do the job ya getting paid for, if ya gotta asked someone else why, then that a lack of knowledge and a just doesn't look good in a Suicide year!, He's spent money, time,and had all these coaches coaching him up and got some good players, now there is no reason other than Corona Virus or a act of Go that he shouldn't win everything, you can only do so much then you have to do it not consultants..then it happens!, well Kelly gave me bad advice or such and such, I shoulda never trusted him and on and in!

Oh, I like ya too, keep this in mind, Herman has been given all the rope he needs to either pull himself out of his hole or to hang himself. If he needs Chip Kelly's help, so be it. Maybe it will save him, or maybe he will go down as another failed Texas coach. Either way, at least he is trying everything possible to turn it around. Have to give him credit for that.

And you should know, if I'm going to diddle myself to Alaska, it's going to be as a Ice Road Trucker.

Coaches talk to other coaches, it's called networking. There are plenty of things to criticize Herman about but this isn't one of them. And if you think the media knows what they are really meeting about then you're too gullible. They could be meeting about anything...
