With football season ending last night, it is time for me to look forward to baseball. What are reasonable expectations for us this season? In my view, we should be competitive in every game we play, but with a new coaching staff and lots of new players, I expect to see some "work in progress" as well. SEC will be a gauntlet, so finishing in the top quarter of the league, hosting a regional and playing in a super-regional would seem like reasonable expectations and goals, and likely would set a great trajectory for 2026. I'd love to make it to Omaha in Schloss's first season, but not sure that's in the cards. By 2026 and 2027, Omaha should be on the table if Schloss and the staff build the way I'm expecting they will, especially as it relates to adding and developing arms. Thoughts?
