Basketball rebuilds can happen quickly

Assuming Beard is let go...

1. Hire the right coach who can immediately bring talent in.

2. Bring in high level transfers, and one and done type high school talent.

3. You need about 8 kids who can play in order to be competitive.

I'm not saying it will be easy, but it's not like trying to retool an 85-man football roster. The key is hiring a coach who can immediately make waves. We have a lot to sell: brand new stadium, state of the art facilities, Austin, NIL, etc. I know it's a complete longshot, Hail Mary, prayer, whatever...but my first two calls are to Coach K and to Jay Wright. Coach Cal (who I personally hate) is a guy who can pull immediate talent--long shot, and a slime trail, but I make the call. Bill Self can pull immediate talent--long shot, and a slime trail, but I make the call. The point is, we need to hire someone that can make an immediate impact.
