Only a few here. My number one

The Military bowl. Navy/Oklahoma all those years when Texas had to play in the Alamo,Houston, or Holiday bowl while Oklahoma got play in an elite bowl. Well now the tables have turned. And right now Oklahoma fb is hot mess not just on the field but with their nil as well. I've also read that their athletic department is losing money. But I don't have the nerve to pick Navy so I have to go with the sooners.

Michigan/.Alabama in the Tampa bowl. I think Michigan may have found themselves. Going with the wolverines.

The Houston bowl. I hope Baylor kicks LSU's ass.

Liberty bowl. Arkansas/Texas Tech. Tossup

Finally the Alamo bowl. BYU/Colorado. BYU is my second favorite team and I want them to succeed but I have my doubts. Going with Colorado.

If you have others please tell us and you know when it comes to non elite bowl games it depends on which team really wants to be there.

Tough to predict these.

I’ll take Navy against blowU. I have no idea if Arnold will play or not

GT vs Vandy: My gut says GT, but I don’t want to pick against Pavia. I’ll take Vandy

Tech ve Arky. I’ll take Arky. Tech’s D is too porous

USC vs Aggy. Aggy

Iowa St vs Miami: ISU

BYU vs Col: I will hesitantly take Col. BYU has a little better quality wins

I forgot about aggies/trojans. Man talk about a clash of cultures. Rick kids against a cow college. Future Hollywood stars vs future veterinarians. Is Lincoln Riley going to make it? And I think Elko may succeed where Jimbo failed. I'm going with the aggies.

That hurts....the boy-child is here for Christmas. After a long day on the tamale production line, he assures me that the Ramblin' Wreck's nerds are more athletic than the Vanderbilt nerds....
freeper, everyone is more athletic than Vanderbilt. Westlake high is more athletic than Vanderbilt.

USC will be lucky to field a team. Never thought Riley would step in sh!t as badly as he has at USC. Dude could have built a fvcking monster there.

Well he swung and missed.
You get a small window to operate and you can swing and miss with the wrong people. C Strong, besides himself squndered his opportunity with Shawn Watson, Tom Herman squandered his with Tim Beck and Lincoln had Alex Grinch. Lincoln squandered the great Caleb Williams’s tenure by having the worst possible defense you could imagine. It eliminated any momentum he had to get toprecruits and build a program. Mid tier programs are different imo because the blue blood programs give you money to hire the best. JMHO

Agreed. Riley is the next Lane Kiffen. He’ll likely bounce around and then find some continuity with a mid tier team somewhere because he grabs a decent QB in the process. I’m convinced the talent makes the coaches more than the coaches make the talent. Riley ran out of luck on the talent.

My question is “how did Reilly f$&k this up???” Like it or not, USC is a blue blood. They’ve got money, girls, and celebrities. Pete Carroll killed it there.

Dude had 3 Heisman trophy winners and a runner-up inside of what, 5-6 years?
No reason he couldn't have kept that talent train going. Just the QBs and WRs he should have pulled would have been enough to win him 11 games a year.

It seems as if he doesn't care about his running game at all. The key to his offense is having a qb who can run with the ball and he didn't have that this year.

When it comes to recruiting all he does is sign receivers and qbs. He's kind of like Deion Sanders at Colorado it's like a Greyhound bus station there.

And I've always believed that Big XII zebras went easy on his teams. Never more than a few penalties a game. Now he's in the Big X and his ol is getting called for holding at least a couple of times a game. Not a coincidence think about that when you remember all those close games we lost to him.

SC is a different animal. I remember on my trip to UCLA, they made fun of SC being in the ghetto. This was 30 years ago. And..... it is in the ghetto. It's got the 110 to the east and an industrial park over there. To the north is I-10 and Pico Union and West Adams..... gheeeeeeeetto.
To the south you've got MLK blvd.... and South LA.... more ghetto. Amd to the west you've got Exposition Park where crackheads stab USC students like it's a fvcking sporting event.

Then over in Westwood you've got UCLA. On one side, Beverly Hills. On the other, Bellaire. On the other, Brentwood. Wilshire BLVD keeps all the cholos on their side of west LA.
The problem is, UCLA fvcking sucks.
Swap those campuses and USC might never lose a game.

Oklahoma fans were too greedy. They expected more than Riley could deliver at least 2 years ago. Had the fans backed off and 25% more rushing plays added to the OU offense, they could be winning or competing for the SEC title this year. There is no doubt that they wouldn't be the crap show they are now. Don't get me wrong, I am laughing. I wish Bell were here to see it.

Edit: I could see Riley coming back to a place like Arkansas after next season. I would not like to see it. He is a natural fit for Texas High School talent. He would do well there. He needs to understand that owning the line of scrimmage and slowing the game down a bit would help his TEAM win games.
