I can't do any worse than last week.

Besides the TX game only 2 other Big XII games and 1 non con game this week.

Baylor/ISU this week we'll start to find out who's for real in the Big XII this year. I say Baylor.

KSU/OK for some reason the wildcats are a big underdog this week 🤭 OK

WV/VT this is the upset of the week. For some reason WV is favored and they're the worst team in the Big XII this year.

Other games
FL/TN FL got lucky when they beat UT a few weeks ago. TN rolls

MN/MSU it's rated a tossup but I say MN in a road win.

The biggest non TX game this week

aggies/hogs another tossup but I'm going with the cow college.

I'm sure @westx will have some other games on his card this week.

Hookem

I forgot to mention TCU/SMU ponies roll

Puling for Arkansas. Hope they win by at least 14 and the A&M offense doesn't score over 17 again.

A few more games that have piqued my interest.

WF/Clemson is WF really a top 20 team? No

ND/NC I don't know how anyone can be a 1 point favorite. This is probably an emotional pick for me.

But unlike that guy in college station at least Mack beat Appalachian State. His defense played horrible but he did win.

NC in an upset.

No line yet on Slippery Rock/Seaton Hall but as always I'm going with the Rock.

That Wake Forest QB is really good. They might give Clemson a scare. Clemson hasn’t really impressed me all that much. The better QB is on the bench for them.

You talking about the boy from Austin?
Yup Klubnik. That kid is already better than DJ. If they end up cutting him loose then watch out for Clemson. They could get pretty scary. He looked really good in that little bit he played against Georgia Tech.

Not many interesting games: Pretty tough to pick these matchups

WV-2 at Va Tech: I am taking WV on the road to cover

Maryland at Mich-16.5: I actually think Michigan covers all of those points

Baylor at ISU-2.5: I think ISU wins

TCU-2 at SMU: I'll take SMU

Duke at KU-7.5: Tough call, but I'll take KU. It is so hard to defend a good mobile QB

R-Kansas at aggy-2: Tough one. aggy defense is good, but I don't think they can keep up offensively. Arky

K St at ou-13: sooners will cover

Well if KS is not the worst team in the Big XII

If WV is not the worst team considering how they played tonight

and since a lot of people think ISU will beat Baylor

and since it looks like KS will actually be 4/0 on Sunday

this may be a crazy ride in the Big XII this year..

a good storyline about TCU/SMU

Georgia vs Kent state.

Why?

Because you reveal who you truly are when you think nobody is looking.

Nobody at Georgia is going to be fired up for little ol' Kent state. Georgia has given up only 10 points thus far and I'm thinking Kent state may beat that total.

Let's see if Georgia comes to play.

Cool article. I found a couple of things that interested me. I like SMU, but sure don't feel sorry for the 2nd generation oil guy losing a friend. Dykes went to a school in a P5 conference for more money. That's business. I thought Rhett Lashlee was a good hire. I also really like the $100 million stadium enhancement and the fact that SMU is throwing PC to the wind and saying "eff it" by embracing the 80s Ponies in their new marketing campaign. I think that is a good move. SMU has had a nice little run of good athletes from Texas/ou and others transferring to them. They have been handed some players with experience which is a pretty big thing. However (and a BIG however), UTSA is making noise and they will pose quite a bit of competition to SMU's nice little pipeline they have been enjoying.

The only reason SMU was able to do what they did when they did it, was because of Bill Clements--- the governor at the time. He made all that sh!t possible. SMU grad, of course.

I know it was a little before your time, but that blue chip QB we got in the late 80s or early 90s by the name of Steve Clements was related to Bill Clements, right? Was he really all that, or was it more his name that made him better than he was. I remember that Texas was under McWilliams where we had good defenses but, horrible offenses. Based on that, I can't really blame any QB that didn't perform well in that system.

Dykes played the transfer portal perfectly it was big part of his success at SMU. And his first recruiting class at TCU is shaping up to be a top 20 class.

Tennessee -11 over Florida

Baylor beats Iowa St

Taking K-State and the points

Watch out for Wake Forest over Clemson...until they decide to switch to Klubnik. Dude is a stud.

Don't like the chances of my Ags. I think we struggle to stop the run..Pigs give us a slow painful death as they control the clock.

Is Max Johnson the permanent starter now?

Somebody was saying that Deuce Vaughn was going to be the best player in tomorrow's game.

Afraid so...He is better than King only because he SEEMS to make less mistakes and better reads. However, I'm going Connor Weigman all day. Jimbo can't stand youth running his "complicated" offense. It seems like a junior high offense but somehow it's complicated. I think the team would rally around Weigman. He has that toughness and the "it" factor. Many of these freshmen mentioned him as being one of the reasons they came.

About that “complicated” offense:

Now about the coaching. Former A&M quarterback Nick Starkel told the BryanCollege Station Eagle that he was left to figure out the intricacies of the position on his own after Fisher arrived. "Only [Fisher] knows how to properly execute the play," Starkel said. "He has to communicate that perfectly well to you, or else you're going to be disappointed, because you're going to do the wrong thing."

"Comparatively speaking," he said, the NFL has "a process for every single play. Sometimes you might lose that process in Jimbo's offense, because you just know he wants the ball to get out here, so I'm just going to get it out there, rather than go through the process of the play."

You want to see a complicated offense that is communicated well between coach and players?

Watch what Riley and USC are doing right now. That's a hard fvcking offense to read. But the entire team is on the same page.

Not a chance . Georgia rolls easily.

No chance of that. aggy isn't done losing. Jimbo will shuffle QB's to lay blame on everyone but himself for his shortcomings.
Jimbo has to be careful. His window is not closed, but it is closing. I think he has 3 years max to win at least a division title. The boosters have done their part in getting recruits and the defense has done their part with Durkin fielding a good defense. The only person failing is the offense which is supposed to be Fisher's whole schtik. I can't see the fanbase and boosters being anymore patient than they have been after this 5th year. @AgScoopf may be right in wanting Weigman. a&m can't even pull away offensively to sprinkle in Weigman for some meaningful game reps. As with any freshman, Weigman is still an unknown as far as being "the one" until he shows it on the field. He is still only a "hope" at this point.

You mean “hope” from the sec shorts videos?

I've seen that, but we can also know that Starkel was benched, pissed and transferred. People don't tend to speak highly of people who bench them. I don't exactly believe that, although I do believe that Jimbo over complicates things that are very vanilla. You don't watch much creativity there at all, so I think he takes something simple and makes it complex.

Does he do a "no playbook" type think like Briles?

In the first half, Georgia has already turned the ball over three more times and given up 10 more points to them than OU did in 4 quarters. I think they might actually be a pretty decent G5 team.
