EDITED VERSION
*update, The move was delayed (covid) I actually have to go out to new job starting in November this year and my wife and kid will stay where we are currently at as he is a senior in High school.
My office was just relocated to Spring, Texas and I have a company car that limits me to a 50 mile commute.
The cost of used homes is ridiculous and the thought of buying one without a warranty has me looking at new builds.
Can anyone recommend new build neighborhoods and builders they have had good luck (even a bad experience so i can be aware).
I saw a new community in Porter, Texas called the Highlands. I dont know anything about that area and it fondness for flooding etc. any recs would be appreciated.
I do like a plan from Drees custom homes.
builders have stated 9-12 month build times so I need to get on the ball with getting started on a new house so it can be finished by next summer.
my new limit is $700,000-$800,000. It is just myself and wife but need a 3 car garage at least and only a 1 story home
