I have sincehad to have a mitral valve replacement because I got sepsiswwhich attacked my valve. I should have died my fever was 105.7 when I was admitted to hospital

Yes but not where they peel your ribs back. They went in between my ribs, kind of spread a couple apart and did the valve replacement and ran drain lines between my ribs. It was pretty uncomfortable I have to say but could have been much worse imo.I can’t say enough good things about this surgeon. Well do what your doctor's tell you to do. I get a physical every year now. Twenty years ago I had a seizure and turned out to be a brain tumor. I lost all my hearing in my right ear even the acoustic nerve. Took a long time to find the right hearing aid for the kind of loss I had. I've had a few seizures since then so I take seizure medication every day. So far no other ailments.

Endocarditis is what caused my stroke they believe. It appears to have been missed on the echo cardio gram I had done on me in Nov of 22’when I had my stroke. I had another echo done 2 weeks ago when they told me I had sepsis. The infection was very evident on my heart valve at that time.

This is going to encourage bad behavior. Take me for example, once I have paid off all obligations, i could load up millions in debt and default on it. If i pay cash, who cares? I'll be getting better rates once I default, lol.

They also went down my esophagus with an imaging device to view the back of my heart through the esophagus wall and BINGO, the valve had infection all over it. The put a pig skin valve in me. If you’ve never seen a pic of the mitral valve it’s no what I was expecting, it kind of resembles a woman’s vagina in shape. The fact they were able to put that in my heart without peeling my ribs back is pretty amazing to me
Well we all have to die at some point. I’ve been to the brink especially with my Sepsis issue very aware my situation with Sepsis could have gone South very quickly and I said my goodbyes before my heart valve surgery.taking stock of my life and how you lived itcan bepretty sobering imo
