I just spoke to a source with knowledge of Patrick Hudson's situation and got some pretty interesting notes.
The person I spoke with said Hudson, who signed with Baylor in February, will not be reporting to Baylor on Monday, as originally planned.
Hudson plans to file an appeal with the NCAA to get out of his letter of intent. The schools he is interested in arre Texas, Alabama, Georgia and Texas a&M.
"He's highly interested in Texas," the source said. "You can even say he's leaning towards Texas and won't be going to class on Monday."
Baylor's first summer session starts on Tuesday (May 31) and the second summer session begins on July 7. Hudson will still need to get his appeal approved and if that happens, it sounds like Baylor will be out of the picture and he'll be Texas' to lose.
A four-star prospect out of Silsbee, Hudson was the nation's No. 3 ranked offensive guard in the 2016 class. He chose Baylor over Texas on National Signing Day.
Also, Max Olson of ESPN reported that Kameron Martin won't enroll at Baylor next week and has asked for his release from his LOI. I can confirm this report. Martin was the player referenced in the War Room who has already sent his paperwork into the NCAA.
