Texas tight end commitment Major Tennison told me via text that he was at today's Longhorn football practice.
This is big for Texas because Tennison is keeping an eye on other schools. He recently took an unofficial visit to Alabama and will visit Michigan on Friday.
Tennison remains committed to Texas but has been pretty open that he wants to see how Texas' offense utilizes the tight end in 2016 before completely shutting down his recruitment. He got his first glimpse of the offense today.
"It went really well," Tennison said. "I h ad a great time and really enjoyed getting to see the use of the tight end and how much he was thrown to.
I'll follow up in the next couple days (I have family commitments this afternoon and don't really want to bug Tennison on Easter) to get a more detailed report, but today was obviously a productive development for Texas.
