As I speculated the other day, it looks like the debate was a wakeup call and the Mayor has finally realized his ad plan is a misguided failure. For reasons that are inexplicable, the Mayor seemed to have believed that he could just run ads contrasting himself to Trump. It seems he now realizes that he has an uphill fight just to get to the main event.
