The Houston Astros are set to start a stretch of 10 games in 10 days at home, beginning tonight with the Toronto (Currently Dunedin, FL soon to be Buffalo, NY) Blue Jays. After a disappointing trip in the bowels of hell aka the New Yankee stadium that ended on an upswing yesterday with Yordanx2, ‘tuve and Machete all going yard to salvage a 3-3 road trip.

Current Standings have our home town 9 sitting comfortably in 3rd place only 2 games behind the Oakland A’s and a half game behind Seattle. The Blue Jays come into Houston in 3rd place in the AL East behind Boston by 2 games.

While one of Houston’s favorite son’s was set to make his first return visit to Minute Maid it wasn’t meant to be however the Son of an Astro OG will be playing in the young Mr. Biggio. Due to George’s injury I don’t expect any tribute videos or tears in this series. As this is the only regular season visit to Houston for the Blue Jays it appears we will have to wait until 2022 for the tears.

Now let’s get down to business the rotations for the weekend are as follows:

Friday May 7, 2021 7:10PM

Ross Stripling (0-1, 6.39 ERA, 14SO) vs Jose Urquidy (2-2, 3.71 ERA, 27 SO)

Saturday May 8, 2021 6:10PM

Steven Matz (4-2, 4.78 ERA, 33 SO ) vs Cristian Javier (3-0, 1.75 ERA, 30 SO)

Sunday May 9, 2021 1:10PM
Mother's Day (reminder for all you deginarates to let your mom, grandma, and wife know what you think about them, but only if it's nice)

Undecided vs Zack Greinke (2-1, 3.76 ERA, 31 SO)

interesting note on tonight's starting pitcher and his comments from a year ago. Looked it up he did pitch against us in the 2017 world series and had a 0.00 ERA.

...and last and not least, just because

OP, no fanfare for that great former Astro Teoscar Hernandez?

JK ;)

(Psst: it's degenerates, I take great pride in that.)

I seriously doubt Stripling is going to consider the home series opener in Houston the right time to throw at anyone.

Yordan's kid is much cuter than Correa's

Greinke is 3 for 5 with a double off Stripling. Give Yordan a night off and let Zack DH tonight?

Aledmys is 3 for 6 with 2 doubles and a homer off him. Would be nice to see Diaz tonight.
If Diaz plays, it probably won’t be for the struggling Straw or Tucker. Knowing Dusty he will sit Altuve or Alvarez after their good games yesterday.

I will be at the game tonight, very top of section 127, row 40, seats 1-6 (first base side) in handicap seating.

Rather excited after not getting to attend any games, or much of anything, last year.

I will try to chime in on the thread this evening but my Apple POS goes through energy like grain and rice through a goose when making fois gras!

I pity fool (Stripling) that intentionally throws at an Astros hitter tonight. I suspect this guy is almost as full of hot air as Mike Fiers, and that's saying something.
