I woke up this morning and for some reason I had Bob Seger on my mind so I put on his greatest hits. I remember buying tickets to see him at Hemisphere Arena in SA in the early 80s and leaving afterwards thinking that was one of the greatest concerts I'd ever seen. Surpassed my expectations. Even to this day and hundreds of concerts later, it still ranks in my top 10. What a great and underappreciated artist.

Great story about Old Time Rock and Roll. Start at the 17:45 mark.
Basically, kid off the street showed up at the recording studio unannounced with his guitar and ended up recording the guitar solo while his parents waited in the car .
This was a cover tune recorded to fill up space on the album. Bob changed the lyrics but didn't take songwriting credit which cost him millions of dollars.
