An idea that is quickly gaining popularity among those who matter is bringing in Bobby Bowden for a limited period of time (ie, 5 year timeframe), along with someone of his choosing who can be the “new Jimbo.”
Bowden thinks that Mack is a douche, and coming here is a great way to upstage him on his own turf. Bowden winning a Natty at Texas while Mack battles for 2nd and 3rd place in the ACC makes him very happy, and reminds him of the first time he dominated Mack back in the 90s.
The fact that his ungrateful former protege Jimblow is down the road at aggy is also a big motivation. Bowden still feels slighted by him, and this is a great way to get revenge. Like everyone else, he think Jimblow is a giant buttmunch.
Anywho, this is a very exciting idea. Had a hard time sleeping last night when I heard the news. Just understand that the level of detail and time being invested in this deal is very impressive.
