One of our own OB's insiders dropped a hint that former Oakland Raider DL coach, Brenston Buckner, may be a candidate for the DL coaching spot.
Looks like he was given the boot only for the reason so Gruden could hire Rod Marinelli. Buckner's DL at Oakland made a HUGE improvement this past season while basically playing 2 rookie DE's. At Tampa & Arizona, his unit numbers were very good as well.
IMO, this would be considered a home run coup type of a hire if Herman could convince him to come from the NFL. He's never coached or recruited college before, but his success on the NFL level speaks for itself. Probably wouldn't be that hard of a transition.
