A lot of you guys just repeat what others have said (because you didn't take the time to read earlier posts).

Just what if, Sark and the Staff really believe in what I call "the Manning Model". That is, you'll have to work to play. That includes learning the system, riding the pine and becoming a good team mate. Maybe the 17 year olds don't know that they DON'T want to start their first year playing against 22 year olds.

Maybe they come from modest upbringings and find it hard to resist the bling of some college team's offerings. They are used to being "Stars" in High School. Maybe they have "handlers" that profit from taking the highest NIL offer?

Maybe at 17, they're playing for the now and not grooming themselves for the bigger opportunity in 3 or 4 years. Many kids can't or won't adhere to the Manning Model. They don't like to prepare to learn patience.

They never think that they'll be injured as a Freshman. They never think they'll ever be in the Portal.

OBs, you know as well as me why flips are so common this year. Money.

Personally, I agree with Sark if he doesn't want to buy players. The guys you want on YOUR team don't have pricetags. (See Mike Taaffe for an example).

The Times Are A Changing.
