Another cultural misfit. Good coach but there's zero southern charm in Kelly. I don't see him having patience for the weekly alumni club luncheon.

Luke Fickell would leave Cincinnati for ND too
Could also be the Urban Meyer escape hatch. ND is the job he’s always kinda wanted

I think that it's actually a damn good hire. I'm definitely not an L$U fan, and I hope that they never compete again for a NC, but they could have done a whole lot worse than Brian Kelly.
