Not only was Miami’s hit on the Cal QB as clear a Targeting call as I’ve ever seen and probably would have ended the game in Cal’s favor, but because the Cal QB was shaken up on the play, the clock was stopped and they didn’t even get the benefit of a 25 second run of the clock, which considering Miami scored the winning TD with 24 seconds left, might have made a difference.

If you aren’t going to call Targeting right there, just get rid of the penalty. Ridiculous.
