Alabama 34
Clemson 17

I'll be pulling for Clemson, but I just don't see them winning it. Now I won't be shocked if they do, but I'll be somewhat surprised. Bama's front seven is one of the scariest I've ever seen in CFB. If Watson runs too often, they're going to take his head off eventually, but I also don't see Clemson having much of a chance at all if he doesn't make some plays with his feet. Clemson is very good on D, but they're not otherworldly, and I doubt Lawson will be 100%. I think Bama's offense wears them down as the game goes on.

Personnel aside, Bama is going to come into this game believing they will win, being led by a coach who is 4-0 in these games. Clemson will be tighter.

I'd love to eat these words.

As much as I would love to see Dabo and Clemson win a title, I get the notion that Bama runs this show and it wont be close in the end. I hope I'm wrong.

Clemson 27
Bama 24

Grew up in Atlanta, played HS football in the early 60s for a guy who eventually became the Bama DC, so I actually like Bama. That said, it's time for a change--go Clemson!

was watching First Take this morning and they were saying the QB had to have Vince Young type game. 1st of all there was only One Vince Young,Vince had good supporting cast with Ramonce, David Thomas and at least 3 or 4 OL that would start in NFL. Lot future NFl'ers on DL and back end had couple #1 draft choices . That said un less Tigers big play Bama. Beady eye snake oil salesman saban slivers off with another natty.

Snake oil salesman means he's selling a fraudulent product. If you are predicting a 5th national title for Saban, where is the fraud?

I dont think Bama is as good as that USC team. They have lots of press clippings, but I for one am not going to go all aggy over them. If they win they win, but I am not ready to annoint them just yet.

I don't think offensively they are as good as that USC team. USC was a powerhouse for a couple years no doubt. Venables still has some vulnerable in him and Saban's gonna sniff it out. Watson's gonna wish he would have let OU won.

Offensively we are not on the same stratosphere as that USC team. Defensively we are much better than they were. That USC team was explosive on offense and average on defense. This Bama team does not belong in the greatest of all time conversation. If we hold Clemson to less than two TDs, then I might be willing to say our defense could possibly be in best of all time conversation.

That offense drops 40 on your head. They had speed and power all over the field. Their D hold you to 21.

I'm not sure the Bama defense has seen as good an offense as Clemson's. So, if you do hold them to two TDs, that would be very impressive indeed.

I will be pulling for Clemson. I just don't think Watson and company will be able to do much. I think Alabama's front 7 is too good. I think Clemson will hang around the first half but I think the Alabama running game will take over in the 2nd half. I see Alabama winning 31-14

Not sure I disagree with the 40 points, like I said their offense was explosive. But that USC team didn't hold hardly anyone to just 21 points. Their defense, while not horrible, was certainly not as good as they had the previous year.

And before anyone thinks I am saying this Bama team would beat that USC team, I am certainly not. There hasn't been a championship game since 2005 with two teams who were that good facing each other. And the game tonight certainly will not have that. I respect Clemson's offense, but they are not on the same level as USC and Texas in 2005.

I don't know the score but Saban called our Junior league coach about our methods for on side kicks. Coach told em to just catch the ball. I expect some time in the fourth qtr the bammites will need a trick play to win... Just sayin...and maybe a KO return for a TD... yeah,
