In case anybody is curious about the kid I found one of his highlight videos on Youtube. Looks like he has a pretty decent arm and might be able to hold it down this week if Card can't go.

I do know his grandfather was Charles Alan Wright a noted law professor at UT. His grandfather had a brilliant mind with a career to long to list here.

He's a talented dude, just needs development. From what I've seen he is or used to be a "1 & run" type of QB.
If the 1st read isn't there, he'd tuck and run and do it very successfully. Not too sure how complex our passing game will be Saturday but he seems to thrive in short quick routes similar to where Colt made a living. We'll see how it all unfolds soon enough.

So it sounds like some people have said they think Card is going to play. We shall see what happens.

Not true at all. Ewers is not out for longer than a month. It’s only a grade 1 sprain which means there’s no structural damage. You’re just making shit up. Card was out there throwing passes yesterday at practice.
