aggies players are still reeling from the 50/7 loss against LSU. Were using it as a motivating tool for next year. It left a bad taste in our mouth. It's the code to get into our building and locker room.

But I'm going to say something that might anger my Longhorn breathren. How can I make make fun of the cow college in fb when we have had the worst decade in the history of TX fb? They joined the SEC at the beginning of the decade. They had one special year and we won the SB last year. And other than both schools have been mediocre. A lot of schools who have been waiting for a chance to get back at the Longhorn have gotten it. But I still love aggie jokes wth they are what they are. But I have to humble myself and speaking strictly for me I don't have any business making fun of somebody else in fb.

Kind of odd how once that door was opened, both our player development goes to sh!t. Sure, we are both snagging top 10ish recruiting classes on the reg, but wtf are either of us doing with them? The last decade, both teams have been pedestrian at best.

And no, I don't ever want to play them again unless it's in the playoffs.

I don't want to make it a regular game because it would mean giving up some nice OOC games. we wouldn't schedule both A&M and LSU or USC Or OSU etc. However, I'm not opposed to playing regular season game. As far as a bowl I hope it would be NY six bowl at least. I don't want to meet in the Texas bowl or some such.

We’re waaaay past the statement, ‘We’re Texas’ based on our past performance. Just speaking on a personal level, I could give a rats a$$ if we ever play them again unless it’s in a NY6 bowl. Our ‘rivalry’ left with them. Most of the kids now wouldn’t know the rivalry anyway. It’s just another game on the schedule. There are lesser things I care more about than a game against them.

You do realize every time they sing their song Texas is mentioned right? Same goes when we sing ours. The “rivalry” is always there. Also I think we still play them in basketball and baseball. Could be wrong though.

I think we could have a schedule with 3 OOC games that include TAMU, a group of 5 team, and a marquee blue blood. That is basically what we have currently with out OOC including a weak power 5, group of 5 and blue blood. Depending on how TAMU does, the schedule may be slightly harder than what we currently have.

I guess it depends on ones definition of rivalry. Do we have a history of competition?Sure. Same state? Sure. Compete for same recruits? Sure For me it’s the emotion of the rivalry that makes it one. You care about the game itself. You hate the opposing team. The recruits know the history of the rivalry, are emotional about it. I dare say none of the recruits these days know what it felt like watching Tucker nail that FG. That feeling you had is the rivalry that was and is no longer. Yes, you can say we are rivals but that rivalry no longer exists IMO. There’s varying opinions on the matter of course, this is just mine.

Aggy is probably the 2nd most common other team we discuss on here, after OU. We talk about them a lot more than we do many of our conference mates I don't think we can deny the rivalry.
