IMHO, Chris Peterson is the best coach of of a medium size school that has coached the last several decades. Certainly the best at a school that wasn't a traditional powerhouse like Alabama, Texas, Michigan, Georgia, USC, etc. Yet on December 2, 2019, he just walked away from it all. Theoretically still involved with the athletic dept of Washington, but not coaching at all. I always wondered how he would have done at Texas if hired in 2014 or 2017. I know he had personal reasons for staying in the Seattle Washington area.
